PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) announced that a low-pressure area (LPA) is spotted north of the Philippines Thursday and will be named “Pedring” if it becomes a storm and enters the PAR (Philippine Area of Responsibility) as reported by local news sites, September 15, 2011.
