Britain’s Amir Khan shows his boxing prowess as Zab Judah gets knocked out in five rounds in their light-welterweight unification bout in Las Vegas as reported by international sports news sites, July 24, 2011.
As reported, Khan, 24, defending his WBA (World Boxing Association) belt, dominated the fight from the first round and never looked back as the fight ended when he floored Judah with 13 seconds remaining in the fifth round there by adding the IBF (International Boxing Federation) light-welterweight title to his name.
Apparently, referee Vic Drakulich counted Judah out but he later complained that it was a low blow.
As noted, the punch looked borderline low however replays indicate that it was not a low blow as the punch hit Judah's belt line.
Accordingly, Khan, who awaits the winner of the Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz fight in September, said "He went down and it was above the belt.”
"It was nowhere near below the belt, it was a great shot. Zab's a great fighter. I respect him a lot,” he adds.
