‘Bachelorette’ Episode 8 Recap: Ashley Herbert eliminates Ames during the rose ceremony (Video)

Ashley Herbertwas back to the “Bachelorette” mansion for the rose ceremony, after visiting her suitors’ families, wherein she chose to eliminate Ames, theNew York Citybanker, as reported by several entertainment news sites, July 18, 2011.

Apparently, Ashley claimed through reports that arriving to a decision was tough because she has been treated like part of  their families. She later gave the roses to BenJ.P. and Constantine, sending Ames home.

Ames, the self-proclaimed nerd turned gentleman, said that he definitely respected her decision and felt lucky to have met her. Records quoted him saying, "I feel pretty numb. I've fallen in love with somebody who clearly didn't fall in love with me back."

As the show earlier revealed, Ashley Herbert got introduced to her suitors’ families and got the chance of knowing them.

Ashley first visited Constantine’s hometown in CummingGeorgia. The family had a party with traditional Greek dancing. Later, Ashley declared her appreciation saying, “I’m in love with Constantine’s family.”

Her next destination was PennsylvaniaAmes’ hometown. Ashley confessed toAmes’ mother that things between her and Ames were moving very slow. Later, Ashley admitted a statement to the camera, “I’m still missing that romance. I’m still missing the spark between us.”

As of her date with Ben, they both visited his family’s winery in Sonoma. At the end of the date, Ashley reportedly confirmed that she could see herself spending the rest of her life with Ben.

RoslynNYJ.P.’s hometown was the last dating place for Ashley where they had roller-skating. Ashley later admitted to his mom that she is smitten by J.P.

In next week's episode, Ashley and the remaining contestants will have a date at Fantasy Suites in Fiji.
