NBA stars showed the Filipino crowd their stuff as they drubbed the PBA selection in their game last Saturday as reported by various sports news sites, July 24, 2011.

As reported, it is not every day that you see Kobe Bryant and Derrick Rose team up in an All-Star game; however the crowd at the newly renamed Smart Araneta Coliseum got to watch them in action together.

It was noted that the nine-man US select squad which includes Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant won against the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) selection in the first of two exhibition games of the Smart Ultimate All-star Weekend.

Apparently, Bryant and company started slow but as expected the outcome was never in question.

As revealed, Javale McGee, who was tireless in executing jams, paced the NBA (National Basketball Association) stars with 25 points with Kevin Durant, Derrick Williams, Tyreke Evans, James Harden, Bryant and Chris Paul adding double-digit numbers.

Further report reveals that the star-studded NBA cast will parade their wares for the second time, and this time expecting tougher and a more serious side in the Smart Gilas Pilipinas.
