So You Think You Can Dance featured the amazing performances of the Top 8 with Lady Gaga on the panel as two more contestants were eliminated as reported by various entertainment news sites, July 28, 2011.

It was reported that So You Think You Can Dance featured the live results for the Top 8 giving a very impressive performance choreographed by Tyce Diorio.

Apparently, the remaining four ladies quickly took the stage with Cat Deeley after the performance and after a review of the previous night performances of Melanie Moore, Sasha Mallory, Caitlynn Lawson and Jordan Casanova it was announced by Cat that the top 2 ladies were Melanie and Sasha, so the remaining two, Jordan and Caitlynn has to dance all out to stave off elimination.

As noted, as with the ladies the remaining four men took their turn and as the results for the performances of Marko Germar, Jess LeProtto, Tadd Gadduang, and Ricky Jaime were revealed the top two guys that America chose were Marko….and Cat fooled us! She then gave Jess LeProtto the news that he was in the bottom two tonight and would be dancing for his life. After a break, Tadd and Ricky were back to hear their fate and Cat announced that Ricky was safe, and Tadd Gadduang was in the bottom two this week and would be dancing for his life.

It was revealed that, after the solo performances of the bottom four it was time for the Lady Gaga performance as she performed “On The Edge Of Glory” and “You and I,” while the judges’ decision are being finalized.

As further revealed, Nigel said that the judges were not unanimous at first with their results, but then their decisions became unanimous that the girl leaving the show would be Jordan Casanova, and the guy leaving would be Jess LeProtto!

Appropriately, that makes the Top 6: Melanie Moore, Sasha Mallory, Caitlynn Lawson, Ricky Jaime, Tadd Gadduang and Marko Germar!
