Kate Hudson gave birth to a “healthy baby boy” in Los Angeles last Saturday night which was confirmed by her rep as reported in various entertainment news sites, July 10, 2011.

As reported, this is the first child for Goldie Hawn’s daughter Kate and fiancé Matthew Bellamy, alternative rock band Muse front man.

It was noted that Hudson has not yet revealed her choice of name for the new born, the new addition to the family is her second son as big brother Ryder, 7, is her first kid from her previous marriage to singer Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes.

Apparently, sources revealed that Kate just recently had a gender-neutral baby shower at a private home in Malibu with 80 guests as noted attendees are Nicole Richie, Courteney Cox and Rachel Zoe who helped in the selection of baby names.

Further report reveals that it is not yet certain if Kate and Matt plans to add another baby soon but Hudson was quoted last month as saying, "I love being pregnant.”

"Gosh, I could be pregnant all the time,” she adds.
