Teen Choice Awards big winners are actress-singer Selena Gomez and country sensation Taylor Swift whose trophy includes one for Ultimate Teen Choice as reported by international entertainment news sites, August 9, 2011.

As reported, Swift, who became popular at age 16 in 2006, had garnered the awards for favorite female artist, country singer and red carpet fashion icon as her songs “Mean” became best country single and "Back to December” as choice breakup song.

As noted, Swift, 21, thanked her loyal fans while accepting her Ultimate Teen Choice surfboard onstage and jokingly said, "it's been a long time since I was a teenager, like two years."

Apparently, the Teen Choice Awards is an annual affair which gives the stars that are popular with the younger generation an opportunity to thank their fans.

Meanwhile, as revealed, Gomez won choice TV actress in a drama for her role in "Wizards of Waverly Place” as she was also named choice "hottie" while her band The Scene got awards for top band and single of the year with their song "Who Says."

It was further revealed that, Justin Bieber, Selena’s boyfriend got surfboard awards for being the top "hottie" as well as the choice "twit."
