Ashton Kutcher, the New Star of “Two and a Half Men” Plays Role of a Broken Hearted Internet Billionaire

Ashton Kutcher plays the role of a broken-hearted internet billionaire come next month in “Two and a Half Men” as reported by US entertainment news sites, August 3, 2011.


As reported, Ashton Kutcher will be Walden Schmidt in “Two and a Half Men” and as told by CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler the new character will be introduced in a two-part episode over two weeks.

As noted, it is not clear if Charlie Sheen’s character Charlie Harper will be killed in the show, when asked by reporters, Tassler made the comment: "I think you have to look at Chuck and you have to loook at the genius and the talent behind his writing,” referring to Chuck Lorre, the executive producer of the show.

As revealed, Tassler also did not directly answer the question of the possibility of her working with Sheen again and merely answered, "Charlie's moved on to greener pastures. He's obviously got a lot of opportunity on his slate, so he's busy."

As further revealed, “Two and a Half Men” begins its ninth season on September 19 also the same date of Charlie Sheen’s Comedy Central roast airing.
